I trained at a time before AI so it has not been at a part of my practice. In recent months, I have started using ChatGPT as an aid for research, accounts and planning.
I do not use this to write letters or notes.
It is important to note that many AI apps and tools are not protected and are generic in the information they offer. It is important to always crosscheck information if you are using these tools.
Why a real person and not AI therapy?
AI therapy is not with a real person with living, breathing empathy and compassion; it is a computer pretending to have these qualities. There is a place for AI, and I recommend a private ChatGPT account if you would like to use it. When dealing with complex issues, I would not recommend using AI therapy apps in place of a trained therapist.
